—— ABOUT OUR PRACTICE
Support for families at every stage of separation
Every family’s situation is different. Some people come to us in the early days of separation, looking for a steady hand. Others simply need to update an agreement that no longer reflects their family’s life. Some are heading into or out of court. Others arrive years into a dynamic that feels stuck — where communication has broken down or conflict has become the norm. And some are navigating the pain of a child who has pulled away.
Wherever you are, we meet you there. Our practice is entirely parenting-focused: We help families create structures, agreements, and habits that put children’s wellbeing at the centre — now and as your family evolves.
—— WHAT WE OFFER
Two services. Every parenting situation.
Whether you need structured mediation to build agreements or ongoing coaching to navigate your co-parenting dynamic, we have a focused, parenting-centred pathway for you.
SERVICE ONE:

Co-Parenting Coaching and Counselling
Individual or joint coaching that builds the skills, structure, and understanding your family needs to parent effectively across two homes — tailored to exactly where you are.

Communication Plan
Building structured, child-focused communication agreements that reduce misunderstanding, limit friction, and keep both parents informed without unnecessary contact.

High-Conflict Parallel Parenting
When direct co-parenting isn’t possible, parallel parenting provides clear boundaries and minimal contact protocols that protect children from ongoing conflict.

Decision-Making Support
Navigating joint decision-making effectively is a skill. We help co-parents build the communication tools needed to make shared decisions with less conflict and more confidence.

Parenting Style Polarization
When two parents operate at opposite extremes — strict vs. permissive, structured vs. relaxed — children often bear the cost. We help bridge the gap for the sake of consistency.

Early Resistance / Refusal
When a child begins resisting time with one parent, early intervention matters. We help families identify contributing factors and address the dynamic before it deepens.

Child Full Rejection of a Parent
Specialized support for families where a child has completely severed contact with one parent — working with all parties toward understanding, safety, and gradual reconnection.
SERVICE TWO:

Family Mediation - Parenting Plan
Facilitated, parenting-focused mediation that helps families reach clear, durable agreements — without the adversarial cost of litigation. Not financial. Entirely child-centred.

Parenting Plan
A parenting plan is the foundation of successful co-parenting, outlining how you and your co-parent will share responsibilities and make decisions for your children. Through a guided mediation process, we help you build a clear, practical plan that reflects your family’s unique needs and keeps your children’s well-being at the centre.

Schedules and Transitions
Creating a schedule that works for two households takes thoughtful planning around your children’s routines, relationships, and wellbeing. We help you develop clear, practical arrangements covering day-to-day schedules, handover protocols, holidays, and special occasions — so transitions are smooth and your children always know where they stand.

Detailed Frameworks
The more detail built into your co-parenting arrangements, the less room there is for misunderstanding. We help you create thorough, structured frameworks that set clear expectations for both parents — reducing ambiguity, minimizing conflict, and making the day-to-day feel simpler for everyone, especially your children.

Plan Review & Updates
As children grow and circumstances change, the arrangements that once worked may need to evolve. We help you and your co-parent revisit existing agreements and make thoughtful updates that reflect your family’s current needs — keeping things fair, functional, and focused on your children at every stage.
—— HOW WE WORK
A structured approach that starts where you are
Every family we work with is different. Our process begins with understanding your specific situation before making any recommendations — because what works for one family may not work for another.

Free 30-minute Consultation
Every family is different and it can be confusing to navigate what service or practitioner is the best fit for your families needs. Starting off on a good foot, before any payments are needed.

Individual Intake Sessions
Every parent brings their own perspective, experiences, and expectations to the table. Individual intake sessions give each parent the space to be heard, while helping us fully understand both sides so we can plan the most effective path forward together.

Personalize Plan
Based on the information gathered during intake, your practitioner will design a tailored plan for your family. This includes whether sessions will be held individually or jointly, how frequently you will meet, and the goals you will work toward together.

Sustainable Outcomes
We aim to build skills and agreements that hold long after our work together ends.

Every family deserves a starting point — and a way forward that keeps children at the centre.
A REMINDER WE HOLD IN EVERY SESSION
TRAUMA—INFORMED
We understand how high-conflict affects everyone in the family system.
EVIDENCE—BASED
Our methods are grounded in current research on child development and family systems.
IMPARTIAL
We create a space for both parents perspectives, while guiding towards a middle ground that advocates for the children
CONFIDENTIAL
What’s shared in session stays in session, within legal limits.

Embrace the Benefits of
Family Mediation
Save Your Money
The average cost of court settlements in Canada is nearly $27,000
If a trial occurs, the average cost approaches $45,000
If you do not use the court process then the alternative is lawyer negotiations, where each party retains an individual lawyer who negotiates with one another on the client’s behalf. Although this sounds like the best option for your nerves, it is not the best option for your wallet.
Lawyer negotiations can range from$3,000 to $15,000 per party.
Why such a wide range?
The majority of lawyer negotiations result in at least one court appearance, which can add significant costs.
Save Significant Time with Mediation
Family Mediation is a shared cost between the parties equally paid hourly, with the average sessions ranging from 4 to 8 parenting plan sessions, and 2 to 4 financial sessions.
With the costs ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 per parent. Family Mediators do not require a retainer deposit at the beginning of the process.
Unlike lawyers, the average retainer cost is $1,200 for the separation agreement and $3,000 retainer for court files.
